“Ka Iwe”

Meaning “Read (books)” in Yoruba, Ka Iwe Alliance was chosen as the name for this charity by John Obeto III and Trevor Obeto when they thought up the formation of a charity to help ease the inefficient library outreach systems in Edo State, Nigeria.

Teaming up with their sibling, Kylie-Emma, and some of their cousins, they got together with their aunts to establish a charitable organization with a stated goal of obtaining funds for the purchase of books for distribution to the impoverished areas of Edo State.

Ka Iwe Alliance was formed on July 7, 2017 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
