Goal almost met.
Our goal for collecting 2,021 books for the year 2021 fell short by 47 books.
Over the course of 2021, we were able to collect 1,974 total new books.
We will add them to the books we collected last year, and send them off to their eventual new readers and owners.
Thank you to everyone who put the word out, helped us collect the books, and to the adults who are sponsoring the shipment of the books.
We will try harder.

Growing from strength to strength, the 2018 Ka Iwe Children’s Picnic & Fundraising Event was held yesterday on the grounds of the beautiful Benin Club, in Benin City.
We surpassed our goal of 110% of last year’s inaugural haul!

Meaning “Read (books)” in Yoruba, Ka Iwe Alliance is formed to help ease the inefficient library outreach systems in Edo State, Nigeria.
